DAEMON Tools lets you convert physical CDs, DVDs, or Blu-ray discs into virtual disc images. These image files can be used just like real discs, eliminating the requirement to burn them to physical media.
It also emulates up to four virtual CD, DVD, or Blu-ray drives, allowing you to mount (insert) and unmount (eject) disc images. These virtual drives appear in your operating system as if they were physical ones. Choose a virtual drive and select the disc image you want to mount. The mounted image will show up in My Computer, ready for use.
With DAEMON Tools Lite, ISO, MDS/MDF, and MDX image files can be created from original discs inserted into physical CD, DVD, or Blu-ray drives.
DAEMON Tools lets you set a unique password to protect your image content from unauthorized access. To reduce the amount of hard drive space used by images, choose the “Compress image data” option before initiating the disc imaging process. You can also use images created with other programs.
