ProgDVB is a versatile and powerful application for viewing digital TV and listening to radio channels. It allows you to watch satellite television and listen to radio channels directly from satellite using DVB-PCI cards with onboard hardware decoders, a satellite dish, and a compatible personal computer running Microsoft Windows.
ProgDVB and ProgTV offer two independent interfaces that work seamlessly within the same installation folder. This unique setup allows both interfaces to share a unified list of channels, settings, and data, creating a cohesive experience for users of this integrated TV viewing software.
While both interfaces share data, they serve different user needs. ProgTV is designed for remote control use (HTPC), delivering a smooth home theater experience. In contrast, ProgDVB offers more advanced features and is primarily intended for traditional mouse-based control, making this an ideal integrated TV viewing software solution for both casual and power users.
ProgDVB delivers robust performance with network broadcasting and audio/video recording across diverse digital formats. As a high-level integrated TV viewing application, it manages about 8,000 channels across formats, including DVB-S/S2, DVB-C, DVB-T, ATSC, ISDB-T, IPTV, analog TV, and file playback.

The application that you will have to install before using ProgDVB:
- ProgDVB requires Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 or higher
- ProgTV requires the full Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.0
- DirectX v.8.0 or higher.
- MPEG-2 Video DirectShow codec (ProgDVB installer includes the Elecard shareware codec)
- H.264/AVC codec if you wish to watch DVB-S2 or HD channels.
