cFosSpeed 13.01 Build 3001 – Network Accelerator

cFosSpeed optimizes your Internet connections with Traffic Shaping and Prioritization. It increases your throughput and reduces your Ping. When accessing the internet with multiple data streams, cFosSpeed optimizes traffic for better performance.

cFosSpeed now includes a context menu option that enables quick starting and setup of the Wi-Fi access point. If your PC uses Wi-Fi to connect to the router, that adapter can serve as an ad hoc access point, providing full bandwidth to smartphones and other mobile devices.

When this app is installed on your PC, Wi-Fi data is routed through cFosSpeed, which uses Layer-7 protocol detection to prioritize traffic.

If you frequently use smartphones and tablets for VoIP or streaming, such as music or movies, we recommend adding a Wi-Fi adapter to your PC and routing your mobile device traffic through the PC and cFosSpeed.

cFosSpeed manages download traffic by decreasing the TCP window size, preventing the sender from overwhelming the connection.

In addition, cFosSpeed includes a packet filter firewall, time and data usage budgets, a customizable transfer monitor, and several other specialized features. It has a filter language that allows experts to write their traffic classifications.

Internet Tuning / Traffic Shaping:

• If ACKs are not sent fast enough, downloads may be slow during uploads (the classic Traffic Shaping).
• Windows TCP Auto-Tuning may result in too slow downloads. RWIN expansion can increase the speed. It can also accelerate downloads for certain applications.
• Keeps the overall ping time low, even during heavy uploads and downloads.

Prioritization – Your important streams first:

• The prioritization scheme lets your programs use full bandwidth, while cFosSpeed selects which streams receive priority.
• For example, Game Traffic, VoIP, and Audio/Video content will be prioritized over uploads and downloads.
• Your file-sharing can utilize the full speed of your Internet connection; however, it may be slowed down when important traffic is present.
• With a configurable prioritization scheme, you can modify traffic priorities whenever needed.
